Anatomy of housing estates is an ongoing project that focuses on the everyday normality of estates across the UK and by paying photographic attention to their details and form I hope to find beauty in these ordinary and mundane spaces.
Born in 1968, I am a photographer from the north of England. My photography concentrates mainly on urban landscapes and topography.
The built environment holds a particular fascination for me. I am drawn in particular to the connections we have with housing estates. These estates play a part in many of our lives and form who we are to some degree. They are places to which we can relate, however banal.
