American tracks is a photographic series of cityscapes, taken in major cities in Brazil.
For years, I have been fascinated by the America of the 1970s. From music to movies and popular culture, most of my inspirations come from there. The photographs of the pioneers of color also contributed to my love of this American imagery, and even to my fantasy of it.
While passing through large Brazilian cities, I find myself in a setting that reminds me of images seen in books by Stephen Shore or William Eggleston. Raw light, palm trees, old cars, warm colors, buildings… in the heart of Brazil, I am immersed in American atmospheres.
